After replacing 2 ignition transformers and 1 electrode , i was starting to doubt the main pcb, after speaking to tech at broag, they advised to replace burner seal . (s100308) and we do have this in vanstock.

usually those three parts will cure the problem but always check Co2 as will cause fault on low burn i.e CH also I have had this problem occur will a faulty gas valve.

I spoke to Broag today about one that's had 2 transformers, electodes and burner seal for an E5. Steady 8.8% co2 but I could see the ionisation current dropping to as low as 1.9. They said to watch the 02 level if that was around 5.5% replace the ignition transformer again.

If its on a vertical flue, check co2 with case on. I have had 2 now that was ok with case off, but when the case went back on the co2 went of the scale and locked up my fga. Spoke to broag, it is caused by the inner flue seals split or pushed out, also noticed signs of condense running into boiler from vertical flue. Passed back to installer. Very Happy
